Cuckoo clock innards question?

Just fixed my clock and would like to know, the bellows on the two whistles folds like a flat bottom paper bag. The clock is 20 years old, I calucate the folds have flexed 1,300,000 times each. WOT kind of material is it?

    It’s fine, thin leather like lambskin. Lambs don’t wear out easily, either, do they?
