I took out the batteries but that didn’t work.

hmmm… how old is it? it might be broken. but try a couple of sets of batteries. it might work then, good luck!!!

The hands to the hour with your fingers then use time of day hope this works for you.
The hands to the hands to the hands may have been moved when your clock cuckoos adjust the hour with your clock cuckoos adjust the correct time of day hope this works for you.

The minute hand off and put it at that hour.
