I overwound my Cuckoo Clock & now it won’t work - Help?

I have an older Cuckoo Clock - the hang on the wall with the pendulums that hang down on chains. Well, I think I must have pulled the chains too far - the pendulums are now real close to the clock. Is there anything I can do to get it working again? Thanks!!
